Project Orbit

18th January - 22nd April 2026

Solo trip around the world, mainly focusing on visiting Australia and New Zealand in an efficient manner. Was a good logistical challenge planning the trip since I was booking everything myself, and working around constraints such as:

Must not depart too early in January to give me sufficient time to prepare
Must be in Adelaide after 20th February to catch the Fringe
Must not arrive in New Zealand too late in the year and it be wet and horrible
Should include train legs where feasible

Overall I think I planned the trip very well, with the only major planning fail being almost getting hit by a cyclone in Fiji after neglecting to check when their seasons were.
